Keep Going…

IMG_2796Have you ever felt like no one understands? You try to share from your heart and you are all excited, but the ears that it falls on just didn’t catch the same vision you had received.

Don’t get discouraged. Don’t let go of your dream, idea or plan. Just like Noah had gotten a word from the Lord to build the ark. They laughed and made fun of him, yet he didn’t quit. He kept going. He held on to what God told him. The result: the saving of the animals and mankind.

Nehemiah was another example when he made the decision to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and restore the city within. He met with great opposition. He had those to help him including the King, yet there always seems to be naysayers and haters. Like Noah, Nehemiah didn’t give in. The walls were rebuilt in 52 days!! Tools in one hand of the workers and a weapon in the other. Wasn’t easy, but it was done.

So hold on and keep going. Believe in yourself.

It may not be an ark, a city wall or temple, but you’ll be surprised at the results.

Go Get It…

IMG_1386Today is a new day! Embrace it. Grab hold of it. Take it for all it’s worth.

Go Get It!!

Just as David asked God in 1 Samuel 30:8, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And the Lord answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

God’s encouragement in this verse to David and to us today is to…

Go Get It!!

Go ahead. Set your mind. Do It.

Go Get It!! Embrace today and make the most of it!!

You Win!!

IMG_6031No matter what is going on, try to find the good. In doing so, in the end YOU WIN!! When you look for the good how ever small it may be, it does something very positive deep on the inside. If nothing else, it will smother those things that appear negative, aggravating and life draining.

Hope against all hope. Regardless.

Push past what was meant to pull you down. In spite of.

Look beyond the surface. Habitually.

knowing that… YOU WIN!!

Great Joy and Abundant Peace, Kulia

Make Good…

Scotch's Broom Capture Walk 2 (112)

Whatever you have before you, make good. No matter what it is make the most of it. If it is something that you don’t like or would like to see changed. You make that difference. You be that change.

Remember, your greatest strength is inside you. Be encouraged!!

Blessings, Kulia

All in a Row…

Yes, that’s how I like it…all in a row. Everything nice, neat and in order. I like it that way, but often times things in my life aren’t so cooperative. I like having the details planned out and all things accounted for. Planning for what is expected to happen and troubleshooting what may go wrong. Knowing A to Z. No Surprises or mishaps. Order. Control.

No, that’s not reality. Nothing has a perfect plan. No matter how much we try, nothing is entirely without flaw or element of the unexpected or the unintended.

Anyway, it would not do us any good in the long run. If everything was fail proof we wouldn’t grow, develop, discover, uncover. We wouldn’t expand or create. We wouldn’t know what is inside of us. Sometimes it is the unexpected, the unrehearsed, the thing that you would have never thought of happening, popping or showing up that gives us the most “stretch” and experience.

Yes, I have to remind myself. I can’t have complete order of everything. I need to plan for what I can and then just go with the flow for the rest.

Order is good, but it can be boring depending on what it relates to. Diversity and change can be a welcomed element at the end of a thing if not sometimes at the beginning.

I can think of countless times of things not happening the way I set out for them to and in the end it worked out for the better. From the simplest act of missing a turn while driving only to find there was an accident on the route I would have gone. If I hadn’t misplaced my keys and left later than usual I would have been stuck in traffic. Another instance was if things worked out where I moved to the states last year, I would have missed an opportunity to travel to the Philippines on a short term medical mission trip earlier this year. It was a matter of being in the right place for opportunity at the right time. Well, now I’m back in the states where I started out a year ago. This time with many wonderful experiences behind me.

So no, life doesn’t have everything laid out neatly all in a row. But do we really want it that way?

What interruptions in your life (big or small) have taken place only to find later that it was actually a blessing in disguise?

As I look and live ahead I must keep in mind that “all things work together for good…” Romans 8:28

I”m Not Real Sure…

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have often heard this phrase. We each have our own preferences. Yet, we should all be able to find the good, the beauty, what’s right within. Whether it be a situation, a person, an object… if we look hard enough; if we look deep enough we should be able to find the positive. Beauty is only skin deep. This is another popular phrase. But Character and integrity are aspects that are not found on the surface, but deeper. Surface is good, but what lies on the inside at the core of a thing is just as important if not more. Take time to do some inventory. Examine yourself. Purify your heart. Make sure what is showing on the outside is truly reflective of what is on the inside.

Details…

I can get so bogged down by the detail of things. Sometimes details seem to slow me down. At times they can tend to overwhelm me. If I am being negative, they can be a little irritating. Yet, details are so important. Whether it is in a task that needs to be accomplished, in a picture that is being painted or in a recipe that needs just the right ingredient detail is truly important to the success of a thing. Lord, I thank You that You pay attention to the details in our lives. You, Lord are concerned about the small stuff as well as the big upfront issues that we face. Thank You! How could I enjoy the beauty of nature to the extent that I do, if it were not for the attention to detail. The detail that was so graciously put there by God and the gift of being able to observe, seek out and take in all the intricate attention given to each component. Oh, the details. They must be there for a reason. I must view them in the proper perspective.
