Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: One Single Flower

Okay, here it goes…My first entry to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge! I’ve had fun looking each week, but this time I couldn’t resist the theme challenge of One Single Flower. This theme is one of my favorites to take photos of and one that always catches my eye to view. The first I’ve included is a sunflower from a walk at Pike’s Market in Seattle, the second from a botanical garden in Washington and the third is a bougainvillea which is one of my backyard beauties. Oddly, the vibrant color of the bougainvillea is not the flower. The flower of this plant is the petite white flower in the middle surrounded by three sometimes six colorful bracts.

Hope you enjoy the view!!

“Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.”      -Jim Carrey

We should all be more like the flowers and allow who we truly are to come forth. The world would be blessed by all that we each so uniquely have to offer. So don’t worry about the “how”

…just bloom and let the world enjoy your beauty!!!

Thanks Cee for the challenge!!

    • Thank you for the comment and for stopping by! I agree, just to look at a sunflower you can’t help but smile. They are a healthy food source too. People photograph, paint pictures and write poems about them…You can’t go wrong with a sunflower!! May your day be filled with many “bright” and happy moments 🙂

    • Thank you Cee!! You are quite welcome for the info. Bougainvillea come in so many beautiful colors one would think that the vibrant colored bracts are the flower…I did too for a long time. But to be so pretty, they have some really mean thorns. My favorite are the ones with variegated leaves and magenta bracts…Simply beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity to share 🙂

    • Thank you!! Sunflowers are so pretty…they almost “command” us to take their picture. I had fun taking the photo at a slightly different angle and was pleased with the outcome. Appreciate you stopping by.
